| Baykonur
Cosmodrome is located in desert 260 km to North-West of
Kyzyl-Orda.
First cosmonaut, Yuryi Gagarin, on
board of the spaceship "Vostok" made a first cosmic flight
around the Earth from Baykonur.
Baykonur has been known as
a place upon where the Soviets' heroes made the cosmic flights
and became the first in space. On October 4, 1957 "Sputnik"
was launched from Baikonur. It lasted for 108 min. After
that the Cosmodrome gets a name "Baykonur" and the city
gets a name Leninsk. It has been the foundation of the Soviet
space programme. Now there
are made a lot of space launches. During
the period from June 2 to June 4, 2000 the celebration dedicated
to the 45th anniversary of Baykonur (former Leninsk) took
place.

Tour 1
Day 1. Arrival to Baykonur city.

Day 2. Breakfast. Transfer to
spacecraft launching-site, excursion to museum, excursion
to museums of cosmodrome, Sergey Korolev and Yury Gagarin.
Visit to launching-site "Gagarinsky". Lunch on territory
of spacecraft launching-site. Excursion to assembly test
block of "Zenit", launch vehicle ~Zenit" (ruined in 1990
year). Transfer to the hotel, dinner at the hotel, free
time, overnight at the hotel.

visit of launch vehicle "Proton", assembly test
block of "Proton". Lunch on territory of spacecraft
launching-site. Visit of Universal Complex Stand-Start (UCSS).
Transfer to the hotel, dinner at the hotel, free time, overnight
